Date Published: 8th May 2020

Pop the kettle on, grab a slice of that homemade cake (it’s lockdown – what else do we have to do) and get set for the Big Book Weekend. Alexander is on at 11 this morning, one hour to go.

Shoreham Wordfest is delighted to present Alexander McCall Smith reading at a special event during the national Big Book Weekend, UK which takes place on www.myvlf.com from 8 – 10 May.  Our event will start the Virtual Literary Festival at 11am Friday 8 May. Alexander will read from his new novel, The Talented Mr Varg, and will deliver a special message for the Big Book Weekend on behalf of Shoreham Wordfest.

You can register for this free on-line literary festival in advance www.myvlf.com or go to www.bigbookweekend.com on the day.  They will also feature the recording with Alexander McCall Smith on their website after the event.
