– with The Queen’s Reading Room
Last week, Alexander took part in the Braemar Literary Festival in the Fife Arms Hotel in the Highlands of Scotland. The Festival is programmed in collaboration with The Queen’s Reading Room. It was a superb weekend in perfect Highland autumnal sunshine. Alexander was delighted to speak on stage with Vicki Perrin, Chief Executive of The Queen’s Reading Room, and laughter filled the auditorium throughout their event.
Independent bookstore, Yeadon’s, supported the weekend and for Alexander’s event the team sold a range of his books including the latest three titles – Bertie’s Theory of Ice Cream, In the Time of Five Pumpkins and The Private Side of Friendship.
To me reading is a great adventure, I have loved it since I was very small and I would love everybody else to enjoy it as much as I do. You can escape, and you can travel, and you can laugh and you can cry. Every type of emotion which humans experience is in a book.
