From the ABC Website:

Alexander is one of the world’s most prolific writers, having published more than 80 works, ranging from children’s books, to architectural guides, legal texts and numerous volumes of fiction.

The worldwide success of his No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series, set in Botswana, allowed him to give up his career as a professor of medical law and devote himself to writing.

Famously producing thousands of words every day, Alexander has become the greatest modern practitioner of serial fiction.

He first published his 44 Scotland Street series by daily instalments in The Scotsman; and his Corduroy Mansions series by daily online chapters.

In this wide-ranging conversation, Alexander discusses his love of sailing, Botswana, and many of the landscapes, including Australia, which have inspired his imagination.
