Alexander at the Jaipur Festival at the British Library, London

Date Published: 8th June 2026

Alexander battled against the storms on Saturday to make it to the British Library. There he was delighted to take part in the Jaipur Festival, London. He was on stage for an in-conversation event with historian, critic and author William Dalrymple where they tackled the subject of the importance of being kind. Well-known wine writer, author and broadcaster, Will Lyons was in the audience (you will recognise his name from the Sunday Times, The Wall Street Journal and his podcast Wine Times – amongst other platforms) and commented later in his socials, ‘Heartwarming and wise. Just the tonic for a windswept, rainy Saturday afternoon’.

Alexander was celebrating the publication of the latest in his Isabel Dalhousie series, The Subtle Pleasures of Indiscretion.
