The 16th Reykjavik International Literary Festival is just around the corner and promises to be one of the most exciting events of the year for literature lovers in Iceland. The biannual festival has been held since 1985  and is considered one of the most important in Europe.
Alexander McCall Smith is taking part on Friday 21 April, as part of the 25th anniversary tour for The No.1 Ladies’ Detective Agency. He will be in conversation in the morning and with an evening panel event planned too.
