Eric Liddell Centre 40th Anniversary (Virtual) Celebration

Date: 26 November 2020
Venue: Zoom
Time: 7.00pm – 10.00pm

The Eric Liddell Centre is an Edinburgh based care charity and community hub, providing specialist dementia support, Carers Programme and Befriending Service. Alexander is a keen supporter of their work.

The charity has been providing key support to vulnerable people across Edinburgh for 40 years and have been working successfully to change perceptions of living with dementia, disabilities and mental health issues.

This three-hour virtual event will feature an exciting range of internationally renowned speakers – award winning broadcaster and author Sally Magnusson, internationally celebrated author and Patron of the Eric Liddell Centre, and world famous Scottish composer and conductor Sir James MacMillan will join Alexander McCall Smith.

The highlight of the evening includes contributions from all three VIP guests, in addition a panel discussion and a question and answer session. There will also be a range of musical interludes highlighting some of MacMillan’s music and the talents of local school pupils from George Watson’s College.

The ticket price of £40 is per log-on so a couple or small family group can join our virtual event – all monies raised will support the ongoing delivery of care services to vulnerable people throughout Edinburgh. The participants are gifting their time in support of the centre.
